Through binaural beats and frequencies, NLP guidance and the instrumentalization of breath, each session uses neuroplasticity to induce a shift in brainwaves, moving from beta waves – associated to thinking and decision making – to alpha and theta waves, associated to meditation, creativity and relaxation. 

 

In my sessions I hold a safe space in which participants use their own breath as a cathartic emotional release tool. This release may take numerous forms – from moving and shaking, to yelling, crying, or laughing.

 

The outcome of each session will depend on the intention of the participant, as well as the emotional, physical and spiritual context within which the session takes place. As such, no two sessions will ever be the same, even for the same person.

 

Breathwork orchestrates a series of changes in the brain, slowing down a network of the brain called the default mode network (DMN) – primarily responsible for your ego or sense of self and in charge of your brain’s control mechanisms, and for many of our rigid, habitual thinking patterns and obsessions. Neurochemically, this leads us to access areas of the brain where feelings and unconscious memories are stored, therefore allowing us to experience a cathartic emotional release.

 

Practicing breathwork regularly allows you to build neural pathways to a calmer sense of self, improving the way in which we process the effect of external stimuli in our internal world.

General outline of each session

  • Introduction to breathwork: science, technique and outcomes (15 min.)

  • Intention setting: working with neuroplasticity (10 min.)

  • Grounding meditation (5 min.)

  • Active breathing (45 min.)

  • Integrative breathing & co-reflection (15 min.)

Individual Sessions:

One-on-one sessions allow in-depth intention setting. Breathwork works with neuroplasticity, which is why intentionality in the process is crucial for the outcome. All sessions start with a theoretical introduction to breathing and breathwork.

Group Sessions:

Using headphones and eye masks I create a setting which is deeply intimate yet enriched by collective vulnerability and presence. I work with groups of up to 15 people.
